美的集团4月19日晚间发布年报。报告显示:2018年实现营业总收入为2,618.20亿,增长8.23 %,净利润216.50亿,增长16.33%,归母净利润202.31亿,增长17.05%,每股收益3.08元。面对错综复杂的国内外政治经济环境,公司坚持“产品领先、效率驱动、全球经营”三大战略主轴,聚焦产品力提升,推动精益管理与全价值链卓越运营。在保持经营稳定与竞争力提升的同时,公司进一步加大研发投入,把握行业消费升级趋势,持续优化产品结构,在渠道变革、协同优势发挥、工业互联网与IoT实践、多品牌体系构建上取得积极进展与成效。

持续高额分红,推出40亿常规回购


提升公司治理水平,维护股东权益是美的长期坚持的价值取向。2018年,美的利润分配预案为每10股派现13元,分红总额高达86亿。此外,在市场动荡之际,公司推出40亿股份回购计划,成为近年A股史上规模最大的常规回购。2018年美的现金分红总额占归母净利润比例高达62.09%(含回购)。自2013年整体上市以来,考虑2018年利润分配预案,公司累计派现金额将达357亿元,为长期股东带来了丰厚的收益。稳定的业绩,优秀的治理,更使美的成为最受境外投资人欢迎的长期价值投资标的之一,全球投资人持股比例一度接近28%。


唯产品致胜,加大研发创新布局


保持研发投入,创新体系建设,美的以产品驱动+差异化技术驱动的双驱动模式推动产品持续领先。过去5年美的投入研发资金超300亿元,仅2018年研发投入近100亿元。2018年共申请专利15,895件,发明专利6,102件,累计拥有授权专利达4.4万件。在从事核心技术研究的同时,美的更注重研发成果的转化。2018年美的主导开展的14项科技成果,通过技术专家的专业评审,全被认定为“国际领先”。2018年10月,美的发布COLMO高端品牌,COLMO BLANC全新套系产品承载了人工智能技术、跨界技术和数字化仿真设计技术等领先科技,首套六款产品均获德国iF设计大奖,并已申请200多项发明专利。此外,美的着力开展产品家族化布局,整合核心创新技术,开发美的PRO高端套系、青选套系以及房地产前装套系产品,形成家族化、套系化产品矩阵。



以创新传承,建立领先工业互联网平台


2018年,美的深入推动工业互联网与数字化2.0项目,全面提升全价值链运营效率。为加快向科技集团转型,结合软件优势、制造经验及机器人与自动化技术,美的在广州南沙空调工厂试点建设工业互联网工厂和平台,入选“工信部2018年工业互联网试点示范项目”名单并获评“2018年广东省工业互联网应用标杆”。10月,美的正式对外发布工业互联网平台“M.IoT”,并成为国内首家集自主工业知识、软件、硬件于一体的完整工业互联网平台供应商。未来,美的将进一步在机器人及自动化、智能物流、IoT等领域进行投入布局,建立领先的工业互联网平台,形成全价值链数字化解决方案。



提升公司治理,完善激励机制


为推动构建核心管理团队与公司长期成长价值的责任绑定,进一步完善激励机制,美的新推出了第六期股票期权激励计划,第三期限制性股票激励计划,第二期事业合伙人计划及第五期全球合伙人计划,稳固了公司高层、核心骨干与全体股东利益一致的有效机制。

Midea Group’s Annual Report made an announcement on the evening of April 19. The report shows that: The Company achieved a total revenue of RMB261.82 billion, up 8.23%, with a net profit of RMB21.65 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 16.33%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the Company is RMB20.23 billion, growing 17.05% compared to last year; with its earnings per share of RMB3.08. In the face of the complicated political and economic conditions at home and abroad, the Company adheres to the three major strategies of “Leading Products, Efficiency Driven, Global Operations” to focus on product competitiveness improvement, lean management, and transcendent whole value chain operations. While Midea maintains business stability and competitiveness, the Company is further increasing its research investments, grasping industry consumption upgrade trends, and continuing to optimize its product portfolio. Midea also demonstrates its strength in channel transformation and collaboration, Industrial Internet and IoT practice, and has achieved positive progress in its construction of a multi-brand system.




Continuously Offering High Dividends,

with 4 Billion Regular Repurchase Program Launched


Midea’s unwavering long-term values are in the direction of improving corporate governance and the protection of shareholder rights. In 2018, Midea’s profit distribution plan was issuing RMB13 per 10 shares, with the total dividend payouts reaching RMB8.6 billion. Furthermore, despite the volatile market, the Company issued a repurchase program for RMB4 billion, as the largest regular repurchase in the history of A shares in recent years. In 2018, Midea’s total cash dividend payouts among the net profit attributable to shareholders of the Company reached a high ratio of 62.09%(repurchase program included). Since its holistic listing in 2013, the Company has redistributed around RMB35.7 billion in cash considering the profit distribution plan of 2018 and brought great profits to long-term shareholders. Steady sales performance and outstanding management have made Midea one of the most popular long-term value investment targets among overseas investors. The ratio of its global investor shareholding even reached nearly 28%.




Leading Products, the Layout of

Research Expansion and Innovation Strategies


Midea continues to invest in R&D and build an innovative system to allow its dual-drive mode with product+technology differentiation to spur up its constant leading drive in product competitiveness. In the past 5 years, Midea’s invested research capital reached over RMB30 billion, with investments in 2018 alone around RMB10 billion. In 2018, a total of 15,895 patent applications were filed, 6,102 of which were patents for inventions. Overall, the Company has accumulated nearly 44,000 granted patents. While engaging in core technology research, Midea also dedicates itself to the transition of R&D achievements. 14 technological achievements led by Midea in 2018 passed the professional evaluation of technology experts to have been completely recognized as “Global-Leading”. In October 2018, Midea released its high-end brand, COLMO. The full COLMO BLANC product set series is equipped with AI technology, cross-industry technology, digital design technology, and other advanced technologies. The first six product items all received the German iF design award, and more than 200 related applications for invention patents were filed. Furthermore, Midea is devoted to carrying out a family-product layout, which involves forming a family-product strategy by integrating core innovative technologies,and has developed Midea PRO Appliances Collection, Midea Youth Appliances Collection and product suites for real estate market.




Continuous Innovation and the Establishment

of a Leading Industrial Internet Platform


In 2018, Midea dedicated itself to the Industrial Internet and Digitalization 2.0 project to improve its whole value chain operational efficiency. In order to accelerate its transition to a technology group, combine its advantages in software, manufacturing experience, as well as robotics and automation technology, Midea built up a pilot Industrial Internet factory and platform at the Nansha Air-Conditioning Factory in Guangzhou. It was included in “The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) 2018 Industrial Internet Pilot Demonstration Project” list and was recognized as the “2018 Industrial Internet Application Benchmark of Guangdong Province”. In October, Midea officially announced that its Industrial Internet platform “M.IoT” has become the first supplier of domestic independent industrial knowledge, software, and hardware as an all-in-one comprehensive Industrial Internet platform. In the future, Midea will continue to carry out its strategies in robotics and automation, smart logistics, IoT, and other fields to build leading Industrial Internet platforms and bring about whole value chain digital solutions.



Improve Corporate Governance with a

Comprehensive Incentive Mechanism


Midea continued to unify the value of core management team and the corporatelong-term growth and further complete the incentive mechanism. The Company released the sixth Stock Option Incentive Scheme, the third Restricted Share Incentive Scheme, the second Business Partner Scheme and the fifth Global Partner Scheme. It was an effective mechanism that further aligns the interests of the corporate high-level management, core personnel, and all the shareholders.
